This is a banger. American-esque blues tones in a box. When we were protoyping this I noticed just how much range there is in the gain pot, so much that I decided that we needed to add switchable gain controls to make the most of this versatility. THEN we thought, why not add a little clean blend control too. So, as well as a fantastic overdrive circuit, you get two extra controls and an extra footswitch for good measure.
I'm properly impressed with this overdrive pedal kit. It'll do clean boost to thick drive. Insert the usual pedal world marketing waffle here and for once it's accurate. Its a lot of kit for the money, and its not really that hard. There's nothing special about the build process here, there are just quite a few parts to identify.
The kit is designed for a JP1590BB sized case with top mounted jacks and power. The pcb's mount to the pots and footswitches and join together with short lengths of wire. Its all well designed and tidy in there, which is what one should strive for in their box.
