Sim UL Eight (Cab Sim)

Sim UL Eight is based on the RunOffGroove Condor Cab Sim. Their goal was to design a speaker cabinet simulator suitable for direct recording and headphone playing, capable of outperforming existing designs, but still within the reach of do-it-yourself builders. The starting point was the published response of a single 10 inch Jensen P10R speaker. They chose to emulate a 4x10 cabinet, so low frequency response was shifted down slightly from the published curves to account for the larger cabinet and the combined cone area of four speakers. I can safely assure them, they achieved their goal with this circuit. It is fantastic!
I opted for the two cabinet version by adding their suggested toggle switch to offer you the stock response as well as one that is a little more 'Marshall'
The PCB hangs from the pots inside the case. This project is simple enough for a beginner to have a crack at! It does use a surface mount Jfet, should you want that presoldering to the board then you can add that here.
This kit is supplied with a JP1590B enclosure.
