Prussian Fuzz
Heres a modern circuit which is based on an old circuit that you may have heard of...the Fuzz Face! This kit is a silicon version of the pedal, which has a transformer at the input to immitate the optimum pickup being present at the start of the circuit, why? well it means you can put the fuzz anywhere in the chain unlike the regular FF.
What else, four controls. Smooth, Fuzz, Volume and Bias give you the ultimate control over the tone sculpting. You can dial it in to be a little bit subtle or a lot not subtle. Unlike a regular fuzz face you have plenty of variety inside this little box of joy.
But Jed, the original pedal is germanium, why isn't yours. Easy one that. I made it with a few different Germaniums I have to hand here and they all sounded pants. I dropped the BC108s in and it sounded mega. It will still take Germaniums if you have any you want to try but I concluded the regular ones I stock arent high enough gain to get this one gnarly so I would much rather offer a great silicon kit than a below par germanium kit.
This is a low - medium difficulty kit. The board is spaced for good old right angled pots so it gives you a nice neat finish in the JP125B enclosure it fits inside, it features our DIY friendly layout and board design, detailed PDF build guide, top quality parts and the availability of our leading build support forum!
