High Voltage
The High Voltage effect pedal kit provides a wide range of sound options for musicians. The circuit itself is lifted from wireless guitar units used in the 70s and 80s and claims to have been the foundation for many a classic rock track in the key of E. This kit includes an interactive optical limiter, EQ expander, harmonic clipping circuit, boost, and line buffer. With this kit, you can bring the sound of a vintage classic to your own guitar.
There's a lot going on inside this one and this is all dialled together with the three controls, Gain, Boost and Limiter. It uses a vactrol to naturally limit the signal hitting the circuit.
The board is spaced for PCB mounted toggles and pots. It fits in one of our JP125B cases. The layout is very neat, and spaced well. I've included my 'diy friendly' approach with larger pads.
This kit is intermediate level. It has a fair parts count and good pad spacing. Theres nothing specialist going and the results are very rewarding. This is a great circuit for those classic rock ACDC type tones.
