Genesis MD
Here we have Genesis MD. An overdrive kit that emulates the 70s classic the OD-1, which itself is often referred to as the pedal that inspired the tubescreamer. It is known for its warm, natural overdrive tone that is often described as "tube-like."
One of the unique features of this kit is its asymmetrical clipping circuit, which is designed to produce a more natural and dynamic overdrive sound. This circuit produces a slightly asymmetrical waveform that mimics the behavior of a tube amplifier. We've modded it to include a 3 way switch to give you a choice of 3 diode pairings and a second toggle which alters the EQ for higher gain and more bass.
The board is spaced for right angled pots so it gives you a nice neat finish in the JP125B enclosure it fits inside, it features our DIY friendly layout and board design, detailed PDF build guide, top quality parts and the availability of our leading build support forum!
I'd say its an enjoyable, intermediate level build.
This kit compares to the Boss OD1.
